The adhesive bonding technology is one of the key technologies of the 21.th century. There is nearly no branch in industry and craft in which this joining technology is not used in an innovative way.

The quality of adhesively bonded products cannot be tested completely non-destructively. As result all necessary measures must be taken to secure the production processes, so that failures are prevented as far as possible.
As a consequence standards like DIN 2304 (Quality requirements for adhesive bonding) and DIN 6701 (Adhesive bonding of railway vehicles and parts) are requesting the development and implementation of assured adhesive bonding processes.
